From developing the idea, writing the script to the production process, Austin Film and Arts Academy workshops are designed to teach film in a fun, hands on environment. Students have the opportunity to produce and perform in short narrative films, in one to two week workshops. Students at AFAA learn both the creative and technical aspects of film making. Austin Film and Arts Academy offers classes for ages 7 to 17 that include Claymation, Stop Gap Animation, Acting, Digital Film making, Beginning photography, SFX make-up and Stunt work for film. Our small class sizes give each student the opportunity to get one on one instruction from experienced industry professionals and guest speakers.
